Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET), Vijayawada, hosted the third day of INNOVATHON 2025, an event organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event featured 33 remarkable projects from the Mechanical Engineering department, including innovations such as the Smart Automated Recycling System, Eco-Friendly Wind Turbine, and AI-Based Predictive Maintenance System.
The judging panel, consisting of Dr. Jamuna Rani, Assistant Professor at Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, and Mr. Bala Chinalinga, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at SRK Institute of Technology, were thoroughly impressed with the students' ideas and provided valuable feedback on their projects.
In addition to Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), led by Dr. Prasanthi Jasmine -HoD of ECE , showcased 68 projects cantered around embedded systems, IoT, and machine learning. Dr. P. Surya Prasada Rao, Associate Professor at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, and Dr. S. Sri Gowri, Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SRK Institute of Technology, were the judges . They encouraged the students to continue exploring real-world applications, stay ahead of emerging trends, and recognize that these technologies will be key to shaping future advancements. They also emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving innovation and wished all participants success in their future academic and professional endeavors.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Joji Reddy, S.J., Secretary and Director of ALIET, played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation at ALIET. His visionary leadership and continued mentorship were integral in inspiring both faculty and students. His involvement in reviewing projects highlighted his commitment to promoting technological excellence at the institute.
INNOVATHON 2025 exemplified ALIET’s commitment to providing students with a platform to present cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges.
